Caius Cuspius Cyrus and Caius Cuspius Salvius are thought to have been freedmen of an important and wealthy family, the Cuspii Pansae. They share a tomb with Cyrus' wife, Vesuvia Iucunda. The inscription records their freed status and that both men achieved the position of 'magister' of the Pagus Augustus Felix (the suburban district of Pompeii).
