This tree, a Dracaeno-draco, fell over in May 2008. The trunk is damaged near the base so it won't be lifted back to its former upright position. The Dracaeno-draco is native to the Canary islands and it's bright red resin was used in the production of varnish used by violin makers. This tree is over 100 years old, they can live for up to 600 years in the wild.
