Model of Alcazaba and Gibralfaro

Model of Alcazaba and Gibralfaro
The Alcazaba is a palace/hill fortress built mostly in the 11th century by King Badis. It comprises two walled areas, one inside the other. The inner-walled area contains a palace. It was used for military and other official uses until 1843.
The present Gibralfaro fortification dates from 1333-34 and was built by the Moorish leader, Yusuf I of Granada. It is likely that it was built to provide better protection against attack than the lower-positioned Alcazaba. There is a walled passageway (coracha) between the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro.
Málaga, Andalucia, Spain.
