Some motion blur spoils this early morning photograph which was also taken in dull conditions and through glass. However, I thought it would be of sufficient interest to my UK audience to post. Around Auckland are signs of excitement about the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. I took this in Queen Elizabeth Square one day before England were thrashed by New Zealand in Wellington leaving them at the bottom of their group - and two places below Afghanistan! 200_2_P1020962

My series 'When Worlds Collide' continues with this image of Crystal Serenity at Auckland. For me, the greatest cruise ship ports are those which are right in the town or city making excursions on foot easy and exciting. The series shows cruise ships in such settings and as an imposing presence on their surroundings. This is the view from the city's busy Queen Street.
