The title is a little misleading and might better be 'The Confusion of Gulls'. The sharp eyed amongst you will spot that I have posted two different crops of the same image. The result is two slightly joyous gull pictures but what they were actually doing in the original is longing to get at some bread between cars in a car park. With the typical gull reluctance to come to ground in anything resembling a confined space, they were simply swirling around and making a lot of noise. 200_2_P1020440C1

Unaware of the significance of the presence at the nearby berth 101 of the Höegh Osaka [qv], this juvenile Mute Swan was in a family group of four, the adults and two juveniles, on the River Test. 200_2_P1020633C
