The Hull People's Memorial, Paragon Street, Hull.

An unusual and striking memorial commemorates Hull's civilian deaths in two World Wars. The inscriptions at the base are poignant and the one I chose to depict particularly so. Delivered with, I think, a little bitterness and understandably so, it alludes to the adjacent inscription which reflects on the bombing of London and Coventry which were usually named in reports whilst Hull, itself heavily bombed, remained anonymous.
