More from Roundhouse Park (3) - 8 May 2019
Roundhouse Park in Toronto houses the modestly sized but interesting collection of the Toronto Railway Museum. I have posted two previous series from when it was known as the Toronto Heritage Railway Centre.

I was more than miffed that this beautiful and unusual locomotive is fenced off quite so tightly. In the circumstances, I am pleased with the photograph I managed.

This is an 0-4-0 compressed air locomotive from 1906 which was operated by Plymouth Cordage of Welland, ON. It was built by H.K. Porter Inc. of Pittsburgh, PA. The high risk of fire in the rope (cordage) factory precluded the use of a conventional steam locomotive. It was retired in 1956 and replaced, rather prosaically, by forklifts.
