The ease of digital photography and the care some people take with their cars allow me to bring to the internet pictures I did not take 30+ years ago. I am not exactly a petrolhead but now, I think, is the time to photograph some cars which we perhaps ignored when they were new.
Ford Cortina 2.0 Crusader NGT157Y would have been one of the last cars to be registered in the suffix series as that system finished with 'Y' on 31 July 1983. Well over 30 years old, it looked good when seen at Stokes Bay, Gosport.
The Crusader was a final run-out model in 1982, along with the newly introduced Sierra. It was the best-specified Cortina produced to date and 30,000 were sold, which also made it Ford's best-selling special edition model.
