Before Zany Zebras_041 - 12 May 2016

Following the success of the public art event Go! Rhinos in the summer of 2013, Marwell Zoo brought Zany Zebras to Southampton in 2016. In preparation for the event, some of the chosen artists decorated their zebras in a shop in the Marlands Shopping Centre in Southampton.

On my third visit to the shop, it was close to the end of the decorating day but nine zebras were present and completed or nearly so. The variety and quality speaks volumes about the talent of the artists. A miniature of the zebra featured in my previous picture accompanied it and is seen here. The miniatures are to be in their own trail at Marwell Zoo.
