Great Egret - 25 January 2016

As still as a statue, a Great Egret by water near Mangonia Park Station.

I took some time to get the photograph I wanted and, during that time, this bird did not move visibly. I became convinced that it was a model and only after repeated examination of the picture was I able to accept that it was not. Such birds can, apparently, stay still when fishing for as much as ten minutes.
