Like many airports worldwide, Heathrow seems permanently to be in a state of construction with the attendant disruption simply moving from one place to another. The latest site is the Central Bus Station where the distinctive roof is being replaced. Buses are operating normally but coach services have been displaced to Terminal 3. In spite of the slightly ironic Welcome signs, no attempt is made to make the works look a little more elegant or the diversionary routes more attractive. A one way system has been instigated for pedestrians to access either the Underground or the Bus Station. This view is towards the Bus Station via a narrow and dimly lit passage.
