Maersk Kiera in the Solent - 19 June 2015
The tanker Maersk Kiera at anchor in the Solent awaiting (I believe) a berth at Fawley. Osborne House is in the background.
Technical note: this shot was taken from Lee on Solent as part of a comparison between my FZ200 and my partner's recently acquired Nikon P900 which I share. I am mostly satisfied with the long shots from my very capable Panasonic which has a 24x zoom. The P900, still very hard to actually get, offers an extraordinary 83x (2000mm) and quality which made today's shot the winner.
