Another unexceptional photograph from my archive has the merit, I hope, of capturing a lost scene. Class 47 47293 heads oil tanks north through Bedford.

Thanks for your contribution, John. For those of us around at the time, these 'unexceptional' photos do bring back memories. Many of Dad's photos were of a similar standard, but they seem to attract regular interest and sometimes something is spotted which is significant to a viewer, which is gratifying.
