What you can find out from the internet can be as contradictory as informative. The Riviera Hotel at Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth is described variously as 'art deco', 'post-art deco' and 'Spanish style'. I would certainly agree with 'late art deco' although building dates are reported as 'late 1930s' or '1940s'. How does one decide on a definitive source?

The hotel was formerly a Pontins and, extensively refurbished. makes a striking sight on the Dorset coast when seen from a distance but, seen at closer quarters, matches its three-star description.
