Dakotas Gather (1) - 3 June 2014
On June 2-4 2014, a number of Dakotas gathered at Lee on Solent in connection with the commemorations of the 70th anniversary of D-Day. They would depart to France to participate in events there. As usual, access to Lee on Solent airfield was limited - a source of frustration for many including me - so I did my best with a long lens. Nearest the camera is F-BBBE in Air France colours (real identity F-AZTE).

It's a pity that a viewing area wasn't set up for the public on an occasion like this. It could have meant extra revenue and good will.
