Continuing west in Old San Juan beyond Parque Luis Muñoz Rivera [qv] , the monumental sculpture in Avenida de la Constitución is even grander than that in the park. As befits the home of the Capitol, it focuses on key figures and events in Puerto Rican history. A holocaust memorial is important wherever it is found. This site incorporates a memorial to the victims of the Lod airport massacre of 1972 in which seventeen of those killed were Puerto Rican pilgrims.
