Llanfair PG Station Building - 1 July 2013
The famous long name of this Anglesey village was contrived in the 1860s both to attract tourists and to bestow upon the station the longest name of any railway station in Britain. Slightly amusing but also slightly annoying. It succeeded with the tourists whose numbers are bolstered by the adjacent visitor centre and Pringle store. The station is very well kept and James Pringle sponsored the restoration of the station building.
