You're right. It was on Friday and now I'm another year older...or rather just two days older today ;-)) And yes, that was the reason for the wine shop and I had the wine yesterday. It was delicious, but I knew it would be as I had first come across that particular wine in Southern France several years ago.

Well, it looks like the Hilborne tradition is the same as my family's ;-))) Not for a whole week though, but the weekend is definitely included, especially when a birthday falls on a Friday.
And yep, you're right about that one as well...I'm (mostly) a glass half full kind of girl (especially girl...at my "young" age)!! ;-)))

Yep, it is, or rather was...on Friday. Another year younger, counting backwards now...but then again I'd rather not, as I want to retire in two years. So I guess I'd better look forward ;-))

It would be nice to go backwards and get retired at the same time, but we can’t have it all… so belated happy looking forward birthday !

Da gibt es ja immer die vier Typen:
Pessimist: das Glas ist halb leer.
Optimist: das Glas ist halb voll.
Ingenieur: das Glas ist doppelt so gross, als es sein müsste.
Realist: das Glas is voll. Halb Wasser, halb Luft.
;-).

Zusatz:
Der Alkoholiker: Das Glas ist egal, wo ist die Flasche? ;-).

Dann bin ich wohl der realist ;-))) Allerdings war ich so realistisch, mir reinen wein einzuschenken und kein wasser ;-)
