Le projet a été commandé à l’architecte espagnol Santiago Calatrava pour l’Exposition universelle de 1998 à Lisbonne, elle est donc un peu plus vieille que celle de Liège, mais elle également tout un charme architectural.

Herzlichen Dank Percy. Er hat anscheinend nur einen grossen Nachteil: es 'zieht' überall dort, das ist im Sommer angenehm, aber in der schlechten Jahreszeit nicht so sehr: die Tochter von Freunden hat in Liège studiert und uns davon erzählt. Bei meinen 2 Visiten habe ich das gar nicht so empfunden, war ja auch im Sommer respektiv Herbst.

Es freut mich, dass meine Architekturbilder so gut gefallen. Danke Andreas.
Genau, die Sonne knallt nachmittags durch das lichtdurchlässige Konstruktion und die Metallträger werfen diese Schatten; gegen 15 Uhr (im Sommer) fällt der Schatten dann so ideal, wie auf dem Bild, es hat sich gelohnt zu warten.
