Ich rate meiner Mutter (81) auch immer, es öfter ohne zu versuchen. Nach mehreren Operationen ist sie aber ziemlich schwach und stürzt dann. Auf jeden Fall können die älteren Menschen damit weitere Entfernungen sturzfrei überstehen. Mein Vater hingegen ist gelegentlich noch mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs.

In my village uphills some people, over 90, still do their garden, go there walking or on bikes: I guess it is good to do it as long as one can. A walking stick or pole is a good option. What bothers me in those "things" (how don't know what they are called) is the position people are while pushing them with their backs bended. Cannot be good...
