Romantically situated, these famous 75 acres of landscaped gardens are located on an isthmus surrounded by two large natural lochs. At one end, the ruined Castle Kennedy overlooks a beautiful herbaceous walled garden with Lochinch Castle at the other end. With over 300 years of planting, there is an impressive collection of rare trees, rhododendrons, exotic shrubs and many spectacular Champion Trees.

Quite an impressive looking set of ruins..........set in beautiful surroundings and nicely framed by the trees. I like the ivy growing up the walls too.

A great garden and place to explore Gordon. we have visited hare on at least two occasions and as you say, the rhododendrons in particular dominate. A fine ruin too. Well captured.
