Rising Tide near Pemaquid Point
Nearly all the Maine coast is rocky, and nearly all the Maine coast has great variations in high- and low-tide levels, so as the tide rises and falls, every wave breaks a little differently. Nearby this location is a series of long terraced stairstep-like ledges, and in relation to the angle of the waves hitting the shore, the on-shore break of the waves is ever-changing and ever-fascinating.

Heading to the Next Pot
Lobstering on the Sheepscot Back River, far up narrow estuaries, more than 25km from any water that could be considered "open ocean". The job of pulling and setting the lobster pots is called "sternman", but it is a job open to anyone tough enough to do it.
