Gefunden auf einem Waldweg im Hainholz. Der Falter ernährt sich von Aas und Kot, ist daher meist am Boden zu entdecken. Schön und selten. Schmetterling des Jahres 2011.

Found on a forest path in the "Hainholz", a small forest near Düna. The butterfly subsists on carrion and excrements, therefor you have to look to the ground to find it. Beautiful and rare. German Butterfly of the Year 2011.

Er saß mitten auf dem Waldweg und flog zunächst auf, als ich auf ihn zu kam, ließ sich dann aber wieder nieder und ließ sich porträtieren, nachdem ich Nora unter Kontrolle hatte.Hab ihn zuerst für einen "kleinen Eisvogel" gehalten.
