Saddle-billed Stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis)
I would like to be able to say that I traveled to Africa, to Senegal judging from the name of this distinctive bird, but I must confess the he/she lives at the Denver Zoo. This particular area of the zoo is something of a free range in the sense that the stork shares the habitat with a couple of other species of birds and mammals, so it is somewhat realistic and fenced, but not caged. More information about this unique bird may be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saddle-billed_stork.
