Coppermill lock ~ Grand Union Canal ~ Harefield, just up from the Coy Carp pub

Everyone was watching a swan and six cygnets paddle back out of the lock as this narrow boat nosed its way into the lock.

Two working barges lashed together exit Coppermill Lock

It is a rare sight to see woking barges anymore. These two carry diesel fuel and coal which are essential supplies to the other narrow boats along this section for the Grand Union Canal
