I'm still with you dear QofC, not totally familiar with all the bells and whistles, but enjoying it more and more. What I'm hardly doing at present is setting out on any photographic trips, no need really as I have many existing shots to upload first. Maybe by the spring I'll get back into it.

well Nick, there are several aspects of ipernity that are aggravating to me. can't see activity that I enjoyed so much before, how do I know when I come to my gallery who has commented on what shot , I seem, and probably wrong about this, to have to go to each of my shots to see if someone has commented. ?? our buddy Steve D has answered some questions for us, but I just have to get more "into it" I suppose. I too, Nick, don't get out there much with the camera, however some recent shots from our Mountain trip, but I will try to search thru my old gallery and find some things also, as you stated. Its just real different now to me, and has hit me at such a busy time of the year, so I will do what I can with it ! :(

May I add something here which might help. (sorry for butting in, Nick).
Your question was one that I had when I first joined ipernity.
Because Google controls gmail, it was so much easier to receive instant notifications at all times.
Ipernity cannot do this.
HOWEVER, there is a halfway house position which might help you here and which I find useful and SAVES TIME!!.
This is what you might like to try:
Go to your name at the top right of any page and select 'Your Account Settings'/
then select 'Notifications'/
then under 'New' you will see 'Receive a digest by mail' /
then select 'Every day'.
You will then receive an email with updates every day.
This won't give you every comment but it will give you the REPLIES to comments. This way you can keep tabs on the threads that are important to you . It therefore helps if, when commenting on others' photos, you do so by means of the 'reply' option and then use this option when continuing a thread.. I have started to do this and find I can keep up with threads much better.
There are other things that are quite useful with this daily digest but I will let you find them out for yourself!
