St Andrews, Harbour

St Andrews, Harbour
St Andrews harbour is home to a fleet of around a dozen small fishing vessels, landing high quality shellfish from around the nearby shores, which are sold locally, nationally and exported. A small, but growing, number of pleasure craft are also based within the sheltered waters of the Inner basin. Quoted from the St Andrews Harbour Trust website.

The gas works was not very far to the left of this scene, and the creels used to be full of shining navy blue lobsters. I haven't seen a lobster on the harbourside for a long time.

The still water gives you superb reflections Joe. The buildings and even the garages look well kept and brightly painted. Have a good weekend.
Cheers, Rosa.

It was just the other day, Amelia, I looked at an old map of Saint Andrews to see the exact position of the gasworks. Thanks for your very kind comment. All the best, Joe

I don't remember the gasworks here, Rosa, but I am sure the harbour looks better without them. Thanks for your lovely comment. Cheers, Joe
