Black walnut shell
It is amazing that squirrels can gnaw through the very hard shells of black walnuts. I read somewhere that it takes them only half an hour to get to the sweet walnut kernel.

A Catbird called
The call of a catbird sounds exactly like a cat and Maggie thought there was a real cat in the underbrush. What a surprise to watch her react this way.
