Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus)
Unfortunately, this very large bird kept flying from tree to tree several times near me, but always had the head hidden behind a branch or tree. But, this is the first owl of this species I have ever seen in nature, so even this photo was a great reward for me. The naturalist in the nature center office told me that no one has ever reported a Great Horned Owl in the park.
