Each row in a circle has 64 stitches, 1 inch of knitting equals 10 rows, or 640 stitches. Most socks are about 15 inches long, or 9,600 stitches for one sock, 19,200 for one pair. Wow, I never calculated that before.

A very pretty pattern. It seems to be innate in the yarn dying, brought to life by your knitting skill.
