Arizona (special needs)

Arizona is the amazingly friendly, outgoing, loving momma trapped with her three kittens (Kanata, Phasma, and Dameron). She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Sadly, Arizona tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, felines with FIV can live a long, happy, healthy life. FIV is not readily transmissible to other felines as it requires a puncture wound. As long as there is peace in the house, FIV+ felines can coexist with FIV- felines. Adoption fee: $40.

Barley (ADOPTED)

Barley is a handsome buff boy who clearly enjoys his treats. While he weighed 15 pounds when he arrived, Barley is now down to 13 pounds. We guesstimate his age to be about seven years old. Barley is a bit shy around strangers. In fact, he runs and hides. But, with treats in hand, it is possible to lure Barley out for some much-enjoyed loving. Barley tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He is neutered. He has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Barley's kidneys feel a bit small on examination, but his labs are completely normal. We put the boy through a dental cleaning (and extraction of one tooth), so he has sparkly white teeth to start his new life. Barley wants to be top cat and may be best as a one-and-only feline. He does fine with feline-friendly dogs. Barley is available for adoption for $40.

Miss Farkus

Miss Farkus was trapped as an older kitten along with her sisters. As they were all completely wild, they have been undergoing socialization. Miss Farkus loves human touch, and she is very food motivated. The beauty enjoys being carried around in her human's arms, purring up a storm. However, she is quite nervous around strangers. We are working to help her overcome her fears. Miss Farkus has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. She is negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She is available for adoption for $60.

Mr. Grigsby: SPECIAL NEEDS

Mr. Grigsby is a gregarious, outgoing feline. People who visit to choose a home often fall in love with his handsome looks, outgoing personality, and soft fur. However, he will need a special home. After all, Mr. Grigsby is allergic to standard cat food. He can have limited ingredient duck and pea without difficulty or, what we feed him, ground up chicken from Woody's Pet Food Deli. Of note, it isn't as simple as that. Why not? Mr. Grigsby is food obsessed. He will go after any food in the sink and even has figured out ways to open cabinets (now all have magnets holding them closed). This boy will tear into bags of anything left on the counter. We do our best to keep Mr. Grigsby away from anything that will cause him to react, but he manages to get into something every six to eight months or so. When it happens, he needs to have a steroid. His face swells and his paws swell. His lips ulcerate. If Mr. Grigsby doesn't get a steroid in time, his paw pads crack and his paws become secondarily infected thanks to the litterbox. Yep, it's best to catch it early. Mr. Grigsby requires a home that can medically care for an allergic reaction. An organized kitchen is a must, one where nothing is left out for him to devour. With all that said, Mr. Grigsby is definitely worth all the extra effort. He's been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia. Adoption fee: $50.

MoMo: SPECIAL NEEDS

MoMo is our only declawed feline in the house. He arrived that way. MoMo, now approximately 8 years old, was found dodging cars scrounging for food in a grocery store parking lot. MoMo is a very quirky boy although his OCD tendencies are mellowing with age. MoMo does not want to live with other adult males (he will spray). He also at times prefers to use wee-wee pads over litterboxes. That has lessened considerably with time, but MoMo still falls into a special needs category due to his unusual litter habits. MoMo lives in his own room in our home (apart from other adult males). Thankfully, he enjoys female company as well as kittens. His room is our "kitten room" whenever we have kittens available for adoption in our home. MoMo is neutered, dewormed, and has been vaccinated against rabies, distemper, and FeLV. Adoption fee: $50.

Chiffon

Chiffon is a sweet girl, perhaps 2-3 years old, who is happy to be off the streets. Chiffon loves to cuddle, but she still is a bit hand shy when she sees a hand reach toward her. Chiffon has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She has been dewormed and uses the litterbox faithfully. She is spayed. Chiffon is available for adoption for $50.

Ellie

Ellie had a litter of kittens on a property, and by the time we became involved only one kitten remained (his guesstimated birth date is 11/7/14 based on what the homeowner knew). The pair joined us on 1/16/15. Ellie, albeit shy, has been around humans in the past. She was spayed on 2/11/15 as well as vaccinated against rabies and distemper. Ellie tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is still being treated for a stubborn ear infection. Ellie is available for adoption for $50, but please be aware that we are still treating her left ear. She has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper.

Chambray (soon available for adoption)

Chambray is a gorgeous adult dilute tortoiseshell who loves loving and is quick to tell you what she thinks. This beautiful girl will be spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper on the 26th of June. Then she will be available for adoption for $50.

Miss Flick (one day available for adoption)

Miss Flick, like her sisters, was trapped as a feral kitten. She has been undergoing socialization. Thankfully, Miss Flick is more comfortable around strangers, willing to take treats offered to her by unknown hands. However, we are still working on getting her comfortable being picked up. While she can be picked up and has had her claws trimmed without incident, she really isn't overly fond of having her four paws off the ground. Miss Flick has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Her guesstimated birth date is 9/2/14. She will be available for adoption for $60.

Kanata (ADOPTED)

This wee girl, trapped with her momma and two siblings, has a great deal of confidence. She enjoys both playtime and cuddles. Kanata eats with gusto, full face planted in the food dish. Of note, Kanata's momma tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, transmission to kittens is extremely rare (as FIV is typically only transmitted by a puncture wound). We recommend that she be tested for FIV once she turns 6 months old. Kanata is available for adoption for a fully refundable (with verifiable proof of spay by age 7 months) $50. If not adopted prior to June 26th, Kanata will be spayed and vaccinated against distemper that day and then she will be available for $60.

Phasma (ADOPTED)

Phasma is a gorgeous wee girl who was trapped along with her momma and two siblings. Her guesstimated birthdate is 4/13/15. Phasma has adapted wonderfully well to indoor living and is a precious combination of playful and cuddly. Phasma is quick to purr when touched and melts into arms. Of note, Phasma's momma tested positive for FIV. Thankfully, transmission of FIV from momma to kittens is extremely rare (as FIV is typically only transmitted by a puncture wound). We recommend that Phasma be tested for FIV once she turns 6 months old. Phasma is available for adoption for a fully refundable (with verifiable proof of spay by age 7 months) $50. If not adopted prior to June 26th, Phasma will be spayed and vaccinated against distemper that day and then she will be available for adoption for $60.

Rey (ADOPTED)

Rey is an adorable wee girl found in a backyard on 5/26/15 along with her brother Finn. Their estimated birthdate is 4/16/15. Rey is a playful, cuddly girl with people she knows, but she is hissy with strangers. She has never bit or scratched anyone. It's all show. And she adapts with patient people who work to win her over. Rey is available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of spay by age 7 months). If not adopted prior to June 26th, Rey will be spayed and vaccinated against distemper and then she will be available for adoption for $60.

Finn (ADOPTED)

Finn is a handsome, shy boy found in a backyard on 5/26/15 with his sister Rey. Their estimated birthdate is 4/16/15. Finn is a cuddly, loving boy with people he knows, but he tends to hide from strangers. He is, however, now coming out of his shell. Finn is available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by age 7 months). If he isn't adopted prior to June 26h, Finn will be neutered and vaccinated against distemper and then made available for adoption for $60.

Whisper (soon available for adoption)

Whisper is a precious young man born in October. He has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies. This beautiful boy LOVES to be pet. He was quite thin when he arrived and has been happily eating up a storm. Whisper has been dewormed and uses a litterbox faithfully. Whisper will be available for adoption for $50.

Murmur (one day available for adoption)

Murmur is a tiny young man, approximately 14 ½ months old. While he arrived into our care when trapped once an adult, he has been finding out about the pleasures of indoor living. Murmur has been neutered and vaccinated against rabies. This boy is full-grown at 5 pounds. He uses the litterbox faithfully and has been dewormed. Murmur will be available for $50.

Devonshire (one day available for adoption)

Devonshire was trapped as a very pregnant feline and soon gave birth to four gorgeous kittens. Devonshire also took into her care an additional litter of kittens rejected by their momma at birth. This lovely, outgoing, affectionate feline will be available for adoption mid-July after her kittens have been weaned completely and she has been spayed. She will be available for adoption for $50.

Lotus (soon available for adoption)

Lotus is firstborn to Devonshire. Lotus is self-assured and knows what she wants in life. This gorgeous wee calico was born on Mother's Day. She will be available for adoption starting 7/5/15. Adoption fee: a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of spay by 7 months of age).

Higgins (soon available for adoption)

Higgins is secondborn to Devonshire. This handsome, laidback fella loves to cuddle. He has inherited his momma's come-what-may approach to life. He was born on Mother's Day and will be available for adoption starting 7/5/15. Adoption fee: a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by 7 months of age).

Bromley (soon available for adoption)

Bromley was the third kitten born to Devonshire on Mother's Day. Adorably precious, Bromley loves food. And it shows. This cuddly, playful boy will be available for adoption starting 7/5/15. Adoption fee: a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by 7 months of age).

Mellow Monk (soon available for adoption)

Monk is the youngest kitten born to Devonshire on Mother's Day. Mellow Monk lives up to his given name. He is a mellow boy, content to cuddle for hours. Oh, he is a kitten and playful, but he is a particularly cuddly young lad. Monk will be available for adoption starting 7/5/15. Adoption fee: a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by 7 months of age).

Merlin (one day available for adoption)

Merlin, our resident falcon, was born 5/14/15 to Meadowlark (transferred to our care the night before after spending time at Bloomington Animal Control). Unfortunately, Meadowlark rejected the entire litter, but thankfully Devonshire welcomed the additional kittens unconditionally. Merlin is the mischievous one of the crew, looking to find trouble. He's utterly precious and lovable. Merlin will be available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by age 7 months) starting 7/9/15.

Rufus (one day available for adoption)

Rufus, our resident Rufous Gnateater, was born on 5/14/15 to Meadowlark, a feline who had been transferred to our care the night prior to delivery. Unfortunately, Meadowlark was too stressed to accept her litter. Thankfully, we had a lactating momma with newborn babes. Devonshire readily accepted the second litter and has been a devoted momma to the crew since the day they were born. Rufus clamors up into my lap for attention and enjoys curling up for a nap on a cozy lap. Rufus will be available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by age 7 months) starting 7/9/15.

Sparrow (one day available for adoption)

Rock Sparrow was born on 5/14/15 to frightened, feral Meadowlark. Unfortunately, Meadowlark had given birth shortly after arrival in our home and found all the changes too stressful to accept her kittens. Thankfully, Devonshire had a newborn litter of her own and that gorgeous momma readily accepted the second litter as her own from day one. Sparrow is a snuggly little boy who will be available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by age 7 months) starting 7/9/15.

Myna (one day available for adoption)

Myna Bird is the only female of the litter born to Meadowlark on 5/14/15. Myna and her siblings were raised by a surrogate momma after Meadowlark was sadly too stressed to care for her own kittens. Myna is a TALKER. She is opinionated about everything and not afraid to share her opinion. This gorgeous black wee will be available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of spay by age 7 months) starting 7/9/15.

Goose (one day available for adoption)

Goose was born on 5/14/15 to feral momma Meadowlark. Sadly, Meadowlark was too stressed to accept her litter. Thankfully, Devonshire was nursing her newborns and readily accepted the new litter as her own from day one. Goose is a precious wee boy who looks more like his surrogate momma than his birth momma. This boy will be available for adoption for a fully refundable $50 (with verifiable proof of neuter by age 7 months) starting 7/9/15.

Another litter of kittens was born to feral momma Boboli on 6/4/15. Thankfully, Boboli has been transitioning from feral to friendly thanks to the oxytocin coursing through her veins. Her brood of kittens will be available for adoption starting 7/30/15. Adoption fee: a fully refundable $50 each (with verifiable proof of spay/neuter by 7 months of age).
