Icking - Maibaum und Gasthof “Zum Klostermaier”

This is one of my contributions to a photo contest organized in connection with the “Icking 1200 years” festivities.

In the background Icking’s oldest inn, commonly known as “der Klostermaier”.
The maypole (standing on the other side of the road) shows representations of buildings and professions which are thought to define Icking, among these also the old inn.

Sadly, the inn is abandoned and due to be torn down soon, and one cannot help but wonder what will happen to the sign on the maypole...
