Here we would like to show winter pictures from the temperate climate zones . Nature is at rest there. Landscapes are often covered in hoar frost or snow, bodies of water in ice.

This group is for pictures of animals in their natural environment.

The animals must be in their natural surroundings. The only exception to the rule is if an animal is perched on something, such as a bird feeder.

This is a group for pictures of at least two of the same species of animal. They can be adults and juvenile, male and female, as long as they are the same species. When possible, please include the name of the animal in the description.
This is a group for photographs with the absolute minimum of black or colour. The result of a determined effort to reduce the amount of printer ink used :-)
Please try and post pictures in the spirit of the group so that we can enjoy a tranquil white group page, I am afraid any pictures with lots of colour or black will have to be removed. Please look at the first two pictures in the group to see the sort of thing we need.
