The group is for anything that can be found on the roof level and above - weather vanes, chimney stacks/pots, finials, pinnacles, thatched roof figures etc.
The architecture can be old or new, but it must be on a roof.
I live on a narrowboat and love to see pictures of canals & boats. Since joining Ipernity after The Great Flickr Disaster May 2013 I have seen no group for UK canals so started this one.
Only canal related pictures please with locations if possible..
Thanks !
To capture images of the people, buildings, architecture, landscapes and scenery that makes England such a wonderful place. Photos that attempt to capture the specific quality of "Englishness" are particularly welcome.
Photos can be historical or contemporary.
Any general views of villages in England. And let's not be too purist about the definition of a village ! Just share and enjoy some of the attractive places in our country.
A group for high-quality, unobscured photographs of revealed wall-advertisements and information signs painted, covered, forgotten, uncovered, and still trying to sell and inform to us through the ectoplasm...
Please remember this is a Landscape group, Please avoid close up's or photos, where there is a main subject, like a tree, a waterfall, birds, the sea, but no "landscape" at all. Please only photos, no videos! Have fun! And please tell us the location! If possible, images that fail to follow these rules will NOT be accepted.
We want to see here pictures showing how plants take back their place in a fully constructed and concreted world. For example, when a small birch tree grows from a gutter, or when thick tree roots break through asphalt.
Wherever you see proof that nature is stronger than us.
