Hi, I'm Rob, and I've been fascinated with taking pictures, going back to my Mom's old 110 camera with the box pop flashes that were expensive!

I'm 100% digital these days, mostly via my trusty Canon Powershot S5IS (hard to go buy a new one when this one works fine) and also with my cell phone for when I'm out and about.

I have short term memory damage, so taking pictures is the only way I know I can remember something forever, which means it takes on a certain urgency for me, especially as I get older. Give me a picture I took 20 years ago and I can tell you everything. Ask me a person's name I met 10 minutes ago, and I can't help you.

I'm starting fresh here with a new approach to what I share with the world. I think in the past, I posted too many pictures and dulled interest. But we'll see, it's so hard to pick from my shots once I get rid of the bad ones. :)

My photos tend to run the gamut from art to festivals to history to funny signs--and cast, of course. I'm not a specialist by any means, like some folks that I see. I generally will take a picture of anything that catches my eye, and share the best of what I took.
