Ni Kadek Mayang Sari greets me for praying in the private temple complex. This place normally is peaceful and desolate. They transform into scenes of great activity during festivals or temple anniversaries. Other times a place for praying and offering the daily holy oblations.

Taman Ayun literally translates as ‘beautiful garden’ and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali. The Taman Ayun temple is situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi not far away from my homestay on Bali in Sembung.
