Wenn man hier durchfährt, muß man sich sofort entscheiden, ob man rechts über die Irschenhauser Straße nach Irschenhausen (jawohl!) will, oder links der Straßenkurve hinauf zum Schulenviertel folgt oder gar scharf nach links in die Kirchleite einbiegt. Ludwig Dürr's first Icking house dates from 1903. This is a shot of his second house from 1909 which he, again, built for himself and his family. It was aptly called “Luginsland” (Countryside View), but as the photo shows is no longer entitled to that name: it's surrounded now by a high forest. I don't feel too sad about that: extensions and changes have adulterated it.
