This is the causeway from Thé UNESCO listedKakadu National Park to the remote Aboriginal community of Oenpelli. The crossing is tidal. At low tide up to 60 saltwater crocodiles( they eat people) line the causeway waiting for the tide to bring in fish. They swim in and line up with open mouths. Some silly people like to cross the causeway on a strong incoming tide, like this. If the car was washed off, no one would help and the occupants could well be eaten. It does happen, believe me! All the lumps and bumps in the water are crocodiles. There are lots of online videos of the Cahills Crossing crocs. There are no rescue facilities nearby.

In the 1400 year old cemetery of Noraduz, in Armenia, with its extraordinary carved standing headstones, these two ladies keep a sharp watch on intruders in this rural and quiet site. It has withstood invasions and genocides. Armenia and its neighbour Georgia were both Christian countries from around 400AD. They still are, although surrounded totally by Muslim countries. The ancient churches, monasteries and religious sites in both countries are breathtakingly attractive.

Founded 1545, and 4,060 meters above sea level in the Andes. This is part of the UNESCO listed city...its colonial centre. In the sixteenth century it had 160,000 inhabitants and was the major supplier of silver for the Spanish Empire. Millions of slaves died over the period of colonial silver extraction and minting in the city.
