Benches became increasingly difficult to find as I travelled further into the outback! Probably best viewed on black. Quite an impressive view from this bench - see PiP#1. Wishing everyone a very Happy Bench Monday. This lookout is dedicated to Deon Brook, a young man from the area, killed in a helicopter accident nearby - see PiP#2.

Last Friday I posted an image of the view from the new lookout recently opened by our local council. The good news is that it also contains this bench (see also another view in the PiP). Best wishes for the coming week, everyone, and Happy Bench Monday to all.

Bruny Island is near the southern end of Tasmania. Its northern and southern ends are joined by this isthmus with a viewing platform where this image was taken. I'm having a very pleasant time on my trip, but will be away (and offline) for a little longer. Meanwhile, best wishes everyone and do have a very Happy Fence Friday.

Lookout over the former pit of the Mt Lyell mine in Tasmania. Fumes from mining and processing operations have devastated the landscape, stripping it of most vegetation and the high rainfall removing the topsoil. Happy Fence Friday!
