Feeling awful tonight, on the dreadful news of the loss of hundreds of people in Laos after the failure of a partly-built dam. I was fortunate to visit the country a few years ago and to meet some of its lovely people. This was taken at a resort stay not far from the site of this disaster, with (if I recall correctly) the Tad Fane falls in the distance.

The main Kuang Si falls - see also the shot below. This was taken during the monsoon season, when the volume of water is greatest.
