Church walls

With a tower like this, the Anglican church in Kiama (opened in 1859) could almost be in England! Very appropriately, it's located on Church Point. Happy Wednesday Wall, everyone.

Ferry Building walls

22 May 2024 25 19 615
Auckland seems to have preserved its classic buildings more than Australian cities. How good are the details on these walls on the Ferry Building in the Downtown/maritime area! Viewed large the building name is legible near the end roof. Happy Wednesday Wall, everyone.

From an old slide

I've been copying some of my old slides to digital. This one of the Sydney Opera House was from Dec 65, and taken from a Manly Ferry. Copied from a Perutz slide. See also Pip, taken a little later on the trip. Your choice of walls for Happy Wednesday Wall, have a good week everyone.

The Boatshed

"The Boatshed" is something of a local institution, specialising in seafood and particularly fish & chips. (see also PiP). At this stage I'm about to go away with family until almost new year. With that, I wish everyone not just a Happy Wednesday Wall, but all my very best wishes for the festive season, whether you celebrate Yuletide, Midsummer/winter, Christmas or something else. Have a good one!

Montague Island lighthouse, seen from the former light keepers' houses. The lighthouse and buildings are now listed on the Register of the National Estate. HFF everyone. Explored.

City wall

The old Xian City Wall was built in the 14th century (and since rebuilt/repaired several times). It is one of the oldest and best preserved city walls in China. Unfortunately, heavy rain limited our explorations.
