the 1702 chapel of st.thomas's hospital and the treasurer's apartments to the east once formed the south side of the hospital courtyard; the garret of which housed an operating theatre and herbal pharmacy. the hospital moved to lambeth in 1868, the chapel is now an office and the attics a medical museum
