Did I meet you In days long gone, Passing through? Dimly remembered Before time frowned Into evening? Half-recollections In symmetry On the shoreline Or on a distant hill Looking west? The breeze Wanders through The years. Lifting the decades On the air, To youth. Meeting but not meeting Until the end.

Was it you walking Behind me Under blue skies, Before the day Turned to evening? Shapes on The shoreline. A dream once vivid. Moments That came to pass, And then forgotten, Until sadness Whispered them to life.
