Taken in 1991 when the lighthouse was under restoration to stabilize it in preparation for its move inland which had become necessary because the encroaching shoreline had come to within 50 feet of it and would have eventually destroyed it. The move finally undertaken and completed in 1999, placed it 1500 feet from the shore. Scanned 35mm negative. (4B022)

This cute little guy is nocturnal. Several were raiding a bird feeder in which we had put some bread. When I took this shot, I was shooting blind because it was so dark I could not see the squirrel in the viewfinder of my 35mm camera. The processed prints I got in 1996 did not turn out well. Recently I finally got around to scanning in the negative and was pleased that I was able to enlarge the shot and bring out the detail using Photoshop Elements 7. Charlotte, North Carolina. (5Z015)
