Renown runs Asda routes at Eastbourne and Hastings, so this bus must have been transferred over ready for Newhaven and Seaford duties, after the Easter break.

This location is not on the 126 route or indeed any other route. I can only assume that the driver was going for his break where there are refreshments and toilets available - at the Martello Tower end of the sea-front.

A sight that will not be with us much longer. Renown, having surrendered a number of routes, in Newhaven, Seaford and surrounding areas, run under East Sussex CC Rider contracts, are being replaced by Compass Travel in May this year., according to a reliable source.

This is one of the East Sussex County Council Rider routes which Renown is pulling out of, in April this year. Whether the buses will transfer to the new contractor remains to be seen. The Bexhill firm has been struggling to get drivers for the Newhaven-based routes.

The pale blue and white bus in the nearest bay (F) is on route 5 to Robertsbridge. This is a Renown route. The livery is not one of theirs. Is this a new acquisition? None of the photos taken at this time are clear enough to read a fleet or regisitration number.
