When I was looking through websites about the Forest of Dean, I am fairly sure that, among the guests at a large dinner party or reception there was a man just like the chap with the bow tie and moustache, but I cannot find him now. He was among those not named in the dinner scene.

This is the photo, annotated by hand, by my father, which has made it possible to correct some of the previous identities I had had to guess. Fanny Ivins would have been Fanny Sutters, as she had married William in 1876.

Alfred Watkins of Hereford was interested in the ancient landscape and the concept of 'ley lines'. Walter Pritchard, also of Hereford, was one of my maternal great-grandfathers. Fanny Sutters nee Ivins was one of my paternal great-grandmothers.
