This image has been presented for use as a greetings card. Some street furniture, TV aerials and phone wires have been cloned out, but apart from that the overall picture is accurate. It may seem odd to feature an old junk shop, with mattresses leant against a doorway, but the array of different materials and textures is a wonderful contrast to the very neat presentation of the more up-market interior design shop across High Street.
26.9.2012 the junk shop is no more!
2013 this building is now part of the 'interior' shop opposite - facing one in this view - with a matching, tasteful decor. Shame the character was lost, but that's progress!
2021 The main building on the right is now a house. The smaller building with the awnings is now a podiatrist's practice. The grey interiors shop facing this yard is now white and unoccupied.

Again I didn't record any information about this work. It has a feel of one of Alan Bennett's monologues.

If one can see a ghostly figure of a young girl with long blonde hair in this photo, then my efforts at photoshopping my grand-daughter from the scene have not worked completely!
