has weathered this window frame - the original building was erected in the late 1800s - in 1904, when fire destroyed most of the plant - it was replaced with a brick structure - considering the age of this facility - would consider it well worth re-purposing - know someone who would love to do it - just a little glitch in the way - finances ! he has been in the front area when it was a thrift store - said it has wooden floors .. tall ceilings - this would be nice to 'tour' - The Burlington Coffin Company Burlington NC (it takes up most of the block) (info from Centennial page of Burlington NC) (c) All Rights Reserved Update: as of Feb. 19, 2016 -- this 100,000 sq ft piece of history is being demolished. There are no plans to use that entire city block. the tower of this historic home reminded me of the fairy tale.. which, of course, I looked up in Wikipedia.. had no idea there were so many versions... Being in the historic distirct, this home must be painted colors belonging to the period the home was built.
