has weathered this window frame -
the original building was erected in the late 1800s -
in 1904, when fire destroyed most of the plant -
it was replaced with a brick structure -
considering the age of this facility -
would consider it well worth re-purposing -
know someone who would love to do it -
just a little glitch in the way -
finances !
he has been in the front area when it was a thrift store -
said it has wooden floors .. tall ceilings -
this would be nice to 'tour' -

Update: as of Feb. 19, 2016 -- this 100,000 sq ft piece of history is being demolished.
There are no plans to use that entire city block.
Just as my soul aches when a Green Soul is removed, when part of history is taken and brushed away as it never existed -- I get a bad feeling ..
** There is an empty lot in this space now; chain link fence around it. The owners said they had no plans to do anything with it. At least that part is true.... they haven't. **

the tower of this historic home reminded me of the fairy tale..
which, of course, I looked up in Wikipedia..
had no idea there were so many versions...
Being in the historic distirct, this home must be painted colors belonging to the period the home was built.
Colorful ancestors !
*update 10 June 2011* This home, built by the Riggins family, was moved since "the land under it was sold".
