Have a Happy and glorious Fence Friday. Here the sun is shining as spring begins next Monday. Hurrah! Have a ripper day and an exciting weekend. Apparently there are nine national flags with these three colours, all from countries that I have never visited. That fact bears no relation to the picture or to anything in Mandurah but is interesting just the same. Well, to me anyway. As usual YMMV. Picture better on black, I believe. A Happy Fence Friday to everyone. Have a bright and breezy day and a gentle, calm weekend.

This boat isn't a normal feature of our marina in Mandurah, but was part of the Big Boat Show in February 2024, taking people out into the Indian Ocean.

The pink colour in this photograph is produced by daylight shining through the dome at the top of the space. This building is the old Carillon City shopping mall in the centre of Perth which closed in 2021 and will soon be demolished. For the Perth Festival in 2024 Rebecca Baumann created “Light Event” in the three storey glass atrium which once led down these staircases to the food hall. The colour comes from dichroic film applied to the atrium windows. During the day the colour changes as the sun moves. I have many fond memories of this place over the years … (Big is infinitely better: please press Z.)
