May I wish a Happy Bench Monday to everyone. This bench represents the Year of the Sugar Gums 2009. Who knew that Sugar Gums even merited a weekend, never mind a whole year? Still, it's a nice bench underneath the trees in this park in Guildford, WA. Enjoy your day and your week wherever you are.

Have a Tremendously Terrific Table Tuesday. Take care of yourself and others. This table is at the Hairy Marron Cafe in Margaret River. The hairy marron is a critically endangered freshwater crayfish which only exists in a small stretch of the Margaret River, a small stretch which is kept as secret as possible. Fishing for Smooth Marron is severely restricted in this area to try and protect the hairy variety.

A Happy Fence Friday to everyone. May your day (and your weekend and your Christmas Day) be merry and bright. No chance of a white Christmas here, thank goodness. Busselton Jetty (again!). Thank you to all who have looked at, commented on and enjoyed my pictures over the last year. You've kept me going at times when things looked grim. Enjoy the holiday season.

HWW everyone. Tonight (21st June 2023) is the longest night for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere. I believe for those in the north it is the longest day. Whatever it is, enjoy every moment that you can (and stoically tolerate any bad ones that may peep their heads up). Love to all.

Have a Happy and safe Fence Friday, everyone. Keep warm (if you're above the equator) or cool (if you're down here with me). These are Australian Ibises, commonly (and derogatorily) called Tip Turkeys or Bin Chickens after their penchant for scavenging food in waste bins. It's a shame really, as they are very useful in gardens and farms, using their long curved beaks to forage for grubs in the soil. We (Mrs Owl and I) are visited daily by one we have named Libby who fossicks around the bushes and plants in our garden.
